Hi Monsinour,
Four times a year CDMAS holds a meeting at a public location.  This month it will be at Eddies Aquarium 1254 Rt 9, Latham, NY http://www.eddiesaqua.com/
It's just a get-together for people interested in Marine Aquariums.  Sometimes the stores give out special deals during these meetings.  Sometimes there are raffles.  It's just a nice way to get to meet the people you see posting on the forum.  Stop in between 3 and 7 on Sept 19th to participate.
  I hope you join us,
  Scott

Since I am new to this forum, care to elaborate what this is and how one can participate in it if one so chooses?

boy, I should stop posting so early. It looks like I can't spell. FYI............. most snail eggs look like ribbons. as for the worms, They form a few to hundreds  spots on the glass or any surface and then fall off in a day or two.it's normal. I am pretty sure those are fan worms before they settle to a permanent home. Your tank is basically making food for its inhabitants.

Sounds like coralline algae to me... don't worry, coralline algae is a good thing.  A razor blade works great for removing from the glass.  Do not worry about the snail shells or the live rock.

A few days ago, I noticed that some 1/8" white spots started showing up on the glass in my aquarium. Over the past couple of days, more spots started showing up. At first I thought, they must be snail eggs (after looking at pictures of examples online). However, today I noticed that the spots are showing up on the OUTSIDE of the shells of several of my snails. Additionally, spots have begun showing up on the live rock in my tank. Throughout all of this, I have not seen any spots actually deposited anywhere by the snails, nor have I seen any of these spots being carried on the underside of any of the snails (I read on the Internet that snails carry their eggs on their feet?). I have attached pictures of the spots. Any ideas? Background - I am new to working with saltwater aquariums, and I have a Red Sea Max that is about one month old, and I believe has completed at least its first cycle.

Second, there are very tiny (about 1/32" or smaller) white spots that look similar to snowflakes. They have pin sized centers with small branches coming out from the middle. These are too small to photograph. Do they sound familiar to anyone?

Thank you in advance for your time, help and expertise. I am told that this is a great place for new enthusiasts like myself to get help and knowledge!
